Cloudera is a start-up that focuses on helping corporate clients use Hadoop to manage large data. The Hadoop platform is an open source system that classifies and collates large data (mass information) generated by the Internet and mobile devices.

Intel says that becoming a strategic shareholder of Cloudera will promote the Cloudera Hadoop platform and replace the earlier autonomous large data solutions integrated with server products with Hadoop. At the same time, Cloudera will optimize its own Hadoop products to make it perfectly integrated with Intel's server chip technology.
