I think this is because Nokia is ready to use the S40 in the low-end smartphone market by introducing S40 into Nokia's own Ovi App Store to keep consumers who are sensitive to prices but want to use smartphones, though S40 's phones are not strictly smartphones. But it's just a stopgap. After all, as mobile operators and brand-name handset makers have spared no effort to promote smartphones, and with the advent of Shanzhai versions of Windows Mobile and Android phones, it is entirely possible that the price of smartphones has fallen by an avalanche. Do not believe, look at today's market hot smartphone, which is not listed but a few months down to One-third of the price?  When these real smartphone prices down, S40 such a "pseudo" smartphone survival space is not much, leaving Nokia may be only one or two years left. What to do? And rely on bloated Symbian S60? According to my observation, Nokia is likely to gradually give up grandma does not love the Uncle S60, fully into the embrace of Linux.  This February, Nokia, together with Chip giant Intel, released the latest smartphone platform Meego.  Wooing Intel to regain its ground. At the Intel Information Technology Summit held in Beijing from April 13 to 14th, Intel spent a great deal of time recommending MeeGo to the outside world, pulling the heavyweight partners of Neusoft, Jinshan and Aspire technology. To woo a large number of software developers, Intel has even said that developers are able to enjoy Intel's free hardware and testing environments, and that the software will be developed using Intel's AppUp CentEr or Nokia's Ovi online store is in fact copying Apple's App Store mode. This, of course, is also a crucial step for Nokia in the smartphone market. Nokia knows that, as a hardware vendor, it is not good at software development and software management, and Symbian itself is a big embarrassment.  Other mobile operating systems, Windows Mobile has been adhering to the traditional model of software licensing, obviously in the downward trend; Although Android is developing well, the core standards are in Google's hands, and other handset makers end up working for Google. As a result, Nokia needs to create another set of Linux operating systems; At this time, Intel sent Moblin. For Intel, the purpose of Moblin is not to sell software, but to build a good ecosystem of embedded devices (including handsets) in Moblin, eventually promoting the sale of its Low-power mobile (Atom) processors. That is why Intel is willing to give up control of Moblin and give it to the Linux Foundation.  Moreover, Intel itself does not make mobile phones, unlike Microsoft and Google, which have launched their own handsets, competing directly with Nokia's main business. To borrow the words of Liu Qian, witness the miracle of the moment is coming.
