Yesterday, global Resources released a survey of 551 Chinese suppliers, saying the Chinese export industry has recovered from the international financial crisis. 72% per cent of Chinese suppliers said overseas orders had rebounded, and only 11% per cent said they had not felt the signs of a pick-up in orders. Although the recent increase in the pressure of appreciation of the renminbi, trade protectionism intensified, but the respondents were more optimistic about the trading situation this year. Of these, 83% of the suppliers said that the rebound in overseas orders would continue at least until June, with only 4% per cent thinking that overseas orders would fall in the coming months. But suppliers are more conservative in sales growth, and more than half of suppliers expect orders to grow between 5% and 15%. The growth of orders may not yield significant profits, influenced by the cautious attitude of overseas buyers to prices and the rising costs of raw materials and labor.
