But there are indeed innovations in cloud computing, and many innovative technologies (including the 6 technologies discussed below) are likely to affect your business this year.

Gene sequencing

Currently, the research that uses powerful supercomputers to help cancer is not new, but moving it into cloud computing technology is a big innovation. Analyst Charles King says this is an important project in two ways: first, it tries to understand the sequencing of genes that occur in patients with brain cancer, and second, it suggests that cloud computing is maturing. The cloud computing version of IBM Watson scans the database and mimics how the patient's DNA is used to define treatment.

IPad version of Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft has finally launched an ipad version of Office apps that may not be significant but somewhat surprising. For enterprise users, the obvious change is that the application can be safely synchronized into the cloud. The application is free for users who have standardized Office 365 and are paying monthly web usage storage fees. Importantly, the app is designed primarily for tablets, which means it will support a lot of slippage and gestures.

This also suggests that cloud computing will continue to evolve, especially in terms of developing custom applications and features that meet the needs of the enterprise.

Amazon WorkSpaces

Delivering virtual desktops to employees has been a major challenge for it: ensuring that the desktop is always available and delivering high-speed performance. Amazon recently started offering workspaces, a cloud-based desktop running on laptops and tablets.

The main innovation of Amazon's workspaces is to use the network optimization of Amazon Cloud computing services, which provides considerable availability to cloud storage services or custom applications.

Corporate video surveillance differs from home video surveillance, and corporate monitoring involves policies that encrypt signals, store recorded video, and manage cameras. Smartvue Cloud Monitoring Server allows you to view and manage the camera from a Web browser.
