Before that, SoftBank had acquired the South Korean online video service DramaFever and spent 250 million of billions of dollars earlier this month acquiring a minority stake in the legendary legendary entertainment. The investment PT Tokopedia will be the latest deal for Simi's vigorous overseas expansion under Aurora.
PT Tokopedia was founded in 2009, an online mall that allows individuals and businesses in Indonesia to open their own online stores, a business model similar to that of Japan's electric-business giant Lotte.
SoftBank said the investment is expected to be completed by December, subject to specific conditions.
