What is the difference between a 32-bit system and a 64 bit system?

1. Ability to process data
32 bits and 64 bits represent the maximum number of bits that the CPU can process at a time. Theoretically speaking, the data processing efficiency of 64 bit system is higher than that of 32-bit system, which is equivalent to driving in single lane or double lane. There are more vehicles passing in two lanes per unit time. But it needs memory to keep up, and the program itself is a 64 bit compiler to give full play to the advantages of 64 bit system.
2. Different memory supported (different addressing capability)
Many people don't know what the address ability is. In fact, it simply means that the computer can find out how much space (memory) a software data is stored in.
The maximum addressing space of 32-bit system is about 4 (GB) when the 32th power of 2 = 4294967296 (bit), while the maximum addressing space of 64 bit system is 64 power of 2 = 32th power of 4294967296 (bit), and the value is more than 100 million GB.
In other words, 32-bit systems can only find things in 4GB of memory at most, and 64 bit systems can support up to 100 million bits of memory. However, that is only a theoretical value. In actual use, most 32-bit systems can recognize 3.5GB of memory, and 64 bit systems can identify 128GB of memory at most.
3. Software compatibility

32-bit system can not run 64 bit software, 64 bit system can install most 32-bit software. Before, because most of the software is based on 32-bit architecture environment, the compatibility of 64 bit system is not as good as that of 32-bit system. But now 64 bit compatibility is also very strong, basically can be compatible with all kinds of software, and 64 bit virus are much less.
