Q: What do you think of the status quo of Chinese science fiction?

Liu: I think it is more a matter of science fiction than the problem of Chinese science fiction writers. Because science fiction is done by authors, publishers, editors, etc. I personally think that from the quality of science fiction authors, the domestic science fiction literature is not particularly bad, and some works are excellent. A work is a masterpiece, in addition to its own written well, there are some opportunities for things, such as promotion in place. Now the science fiction project is a systematic project, and now the biggest problem for science fiction writers is a market that cannot be started. How does this market start? I think science fiction writers can only play a part.

Q: Why did the three bodies start with the Cultural Revolution phase?

Liu: The story needs. The reading orientation of domestic readers is not the kind of carrying hair can throw out a very distant future, 1.1 points to design the future plot. The imagination of Chinese readers is to have a platform to take off. Q: What is the path to the growth of your imagination?

Liu: I was involved in science fiction writing as a sci-fi fan. Any sci-fi fan will have its own sci-fi logic and imaginary world. Everyone has a wide range of imagination, but he is willing to share with others. Science itself has a tortuous evolutionary process, if you are interested in science and technology, you can appreciate the aesthetic, your imagination will certainly be stimulated. Does not necessarily need a certain science and engineering background. This kind of science fiction will not have dyslexia, and those that have obstacles must not be understood by the authors themselves. The three bodies are exposed to modern, up-to-date physics.

Q: I see you've been attending some games more recently. Will you turn into a pan-entertainment state?

Liu: I was obsessed with science fiction, and it was a DOS system. Then because of the energy problem, I have never played the game.

Q: What are some of the things you are interested in and thinking about?

Liu: There are enough space and universe written in the trilogy of three bodies. I want to write science fiction in other technical fields.

Q: What do you think of the theme of eternal life, and how do you see the struggle against death? Do you think this kind of struggle is futile?

Liu: I am a absolute atheist. I don't think there is anything after death. As a rationalist. All things in the universe are dead and alive. Life itself is a dissipative structure. And the death of the struggle is only a staged action, the final failure is always our own. But in the long run, it is not necessarily from science fiction, there must be new technology, new means, extend our life span, and even in some way, we will continue to live forever. This again creates a problem that death will eventually be conquered. But after conquering death, can we save ourselves? After 10,000 years of life, are you still the earliest? From the sci-fi point of view, I believe that mankind will one day conquer death in technology. What I want to express in "Three bodies" is a possibility. The universe has the best universe, also has the worst, the life is respected, the different civilization integrates, the mutual respect. But there is also a bad and not bad universe, as we now in the world, there are evil, war, but also some people of warm, love. There may be the worst of the universe, "three-body" is the worst of the universe, the pressure to survive, the environment to the limit, I in the English version of the "three-body" written in the preface is "The Worst of the universe and the best Earth." But this is only one possibility, one of more possibilities, and it is possible that my lower work will list another possibility.

Q: Do you think it is necessary to refer to the science of fiction? Is science fiction necessary to combine with technology?

Liu: Science fiction is not a violation of known scientific discoveries; Science is not a shackle to science fiction, but a liberation, a pair of wings. Science gives the story resources that the novel can provide more than the story resources of fantasy and myth. Especially at present, the whole mainstream literature is confronted with the problem of exhaustion of story resources. Genre literature does not decline, but it becomes increasingly difficult to attract readers unless the storyline is distorted. For literature, the science and technology has the unceasing discovery and the progress, the story resources will continue unceasingly. But the science fiction literature faces a problem, that is, the general public's misunderstanding of science fiction is low, even if we want to communicate with scientists, few scientists are willing to communicate with us. So few scientists, like Miao, can write a physics in three bodies. The situation is also changing. NASA, for example, has invited some science fiction writers as advisers, but it's also strange. At present, the communication between the science fiction literature and the scientific community is limited. In the field of space and the Internet, it is one of the two most concentrated areas of science fiction readers. When they grow up, things change a lot.

On the other side, scientific imagination is much richer than science fiction, and that picture needs to be expressed in terms of equations and mathematics. For example, a recent major scientific advance, the US observatory in Antarctica observed the polarization of gravitational waves in the universe, thus indirectly proving the theory of the expansion of the universe, which is crazy, imaginative, and the universe expands from one point to a state of immense magnitude. So I think science fiction is ahead of technology, behind science. Science fiction imagines that technology products are definitely superior to the present. The science fiction literature itself is the popular literature, but has grown into the scientist, the engineer's elite personage is very difficult to have the interest to open the science fiction.

What about the three-body version of the movie?

Q: How do you expect the "three-body" movie version? Who do you expect to direct?

Liu: I will participate in the movie. Because science fiction is more suitable for movies, especially if I want to film my novels, I definitely have to get involved. But at present the internal news is very close, I only know is in the radio and television website to record, I have not seen the production team person, in this matter I know as much as you. I think the real success of science fiction films like historical films, need to show a heavy sense of history and tearing. I want the director of the Song of Ice and Fire to shoot. But I'm essentially a science fiction, and my primary focus is on science fiction. Now I'm thinking about how to write the next one, and I don't have a clue.

Q: You have a lot of work to be bought by the film and television company copyright, which you are involved in?

Liu: Yes, "village teacher". There are one or two more, the operation needs to be kept confidential, it is not convenient to speak. Q: What do you think of the future of mankind and space?

Liu: I think the future of mankind will certainly not be on earth alone. But our future, how many generations of our grandchildren's future can only be on Earth. and human beings as a species, civilization, in a slightly larger time scale to continue, we must leave the earth.

Q: What do you think of the theory of "dimensionality reduction competition" that has been repeatedly mentioned in many business reviews?

Liu: Frankly speaking, I didn't expect that. It is not misreading, the reader has the power to read.

Q: Why do you think humans have yet to find signs of aliens? Is it because the living range and distance of intelligent species are limited?

Liu: I can't answer that. But according to the latest theory, this may be a good thing, and this has nothing to do with the "dark Forest" theory. Not that you didn't find out, we were safe. One theory is that life evolves from inanimate state to life in the whole universe, and there are many times in between. Some of them are difficult to get through, and if aliens can be found everywhere, that means we are already at the bottom of the sieve. If there are few aliens around us, it means that we are still on top of the sieve and most of them are screened, and this theory is very shocking.
