Cloud computing in the distributed, grid and utility computing in the concept of a certain overlap, but also in the application of its own unique meaning. This feature depends on cloud computing as a computing concept developed on the basis of grid, utility (Utility) and software-Service (SaaS) computing. Now people associate cloud computing with higher levels of cloud abstraction. Because cloud computing is a new computing paradigm, users can use a variety of terminals to access the applications at any point in time. These applications are deployed in geographically dispersed data centers, which can dynamically provide and share computing resources, significantly reducing costs and increasing economic benefits.
Technically, the cloud is an infrastructure that builds one or more frames. Figure 1 shows the cloud architecture, and the virtualized physical hardware layer provides a flexible, adaptive platform that improves resource utilization and embodies the cloud computing concept in a layered model. From a tiered perspective, cloud computing can be based on IAAS (infrastructure as a service), PaaS (platform as a service), SaaS (software as a service) to implement and implement the appropriate business requirements at all levels.
The standardization of cloud computing has yet to be perfected
For new technology, there is a suitable time for standardization. The best time for standardization is that the technical research has been relatively mature, but the market is not a large commercial scale window period. Standardization as early as this window period will lead to immature technology development and stifle the potential of technological development. and later in this window to standardize, because already has a large number of products for commercial, the market can not afford the cost of standardization, resulting in a number of sets of standards, resulting in standardized failure.
On the one hand, the current mainstream hardware and software manufacturers, such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SUN, Redhat, Symantec and so on, have put forward their own cloud computing architecture and system, and put into a larger research and development strength. In the cloud computing architecture, the concepts are vaguely similar, but the details are different. Moreover, due to the different market environment, the concept of cloud has a great difference.
On the other hand, there are still more technical problems to be solved in cloud computing, such as the security problem in cloud environment, QoS problem, the problem of multiple weak physical machines becoming a powerful virtual machine and so on, none of these problems are approved by the industry. In the actual technology implementation, the different cloud computing architecture must be addressed to one or more of these problems, using their own proprietary technology. Since these technologies are still being explored, it is difficult to standardize in a short time.
Microsoft's executive vice President Mavilin on June 9, 2009, when he was a guest on the It Longmen, said: "Now is the road manufacturers to make their own efforts to move forward, the development of the standard of the environment is not mature; when the industry slowly developed to a certain stage, the standard can be established. "Cloud computing is currently in the early stages of a standardized window because it is not yet mature."
