Twitter's perception in the US has reached 87%, as is the same as Facebook, according to a recent report by Edison Research, a U.S. market-study firm.
The report is based on a telephone survey of 1753 Americans over 12 years of age in February this year. This report is a study of Twitter's perceptions, status update behavior, user composition, brand focus behavior, and attitudes towards location-based social networks, below are some of the relevant descriptions.
The following are the main points of the report:
-Twitter's cognitive level increased from 5% in 2008 to 88% in 87%,facebook in 2010;
-Despite the same level of awareness, Twitter has fallen behind Facebook: only 7% of Americans use Twitter, while the proportion of Americans setting up personal data on Facebook is as high as 41%;
-nearly two-thirds of Twitter's active users visit social networking sites via their mobile phones;
-51% of Twitter's active users focus on businesses, brands or products through social networking sites.
