July 17 News, billion power network learned that the U.S. office supplies retailer Staples after a period of pilot, decided to terminate the cooperation with the United States Postal Service (UPS). No longer set up small mailing points in Staples retail stores because many customers are resisting this behavior outside the store.

The main revolt came from post office workers because the expansion of the staples mailing point led many non-union employees to eat their jobs. The revolt erupted because the US Postal workers Guild was supported by the American Teachers ' union to revolt against Staples. It is understood that the American Federation of Teachers represents 1.6 million members from education and other fields.

Starting last October, Staples began working with the USPS to allow Staples employees to send and receive postal parcels in their retail outlets, and after receiving parcels to be mailed, the UPS staff will collect them and send them to the mail. The pilot was conducted for nearly a year at 82 Staples retail outlets in California State and Georgia.

A spokesman for UPS said the pilot 82 Staples retail stores would be integrated into a long-term "certified delivery" project by UPS before August 29.

In the previous staples and UPS cooperation, staples only sales UPS distribution services and products, into the "Certified Distribution" project, Staples will also sell some postal agent merchandise.

It is understood that, due to the impact of E-commerce, Staples3 month closed 225 stores. UPS has also been facing financial problems because, with the development of e-mail, fewer people are using the mailing system, and UPS has to pay high retiree fees.
