Unsurprisingly, the number one password was "123456" and was used by more than 3000 people. Ranked after it is password, 12345678, qwerty, abc123, 111111, and so on. Gawker's website names such as Lifehack, consumer, Gizmodo, Gawker, and Kotaku are also common passwords.
In these popular passwords, monkey (monkeys) unexpectedly ranked in the top 10, God knows what users are thinking. Other interesting passwords include the password used by Agent Mulder in the X-Files Trustno1, Lucas Science fiction film thx1138, etc.
