Windows Azure Achievements for Visual Studio Publishing

Today I am honored to announce the official release of visual Studio achievements Windows Azure. The release was based on the visual Studio Achievements Expansion pack, adding 15 Windows Azure achievements.

If you're unfamiliar with visual Studio achievements, here's a quick introduction. Visual Studio Achievements is a Visual Studio expansion pack that allows developers to get badges and rank according to the code written by the developer, the complexity of the code, and whether or not to take full advantage of the capabilities of Visual Studio. Let developers compete with other developers in high scores. The expansion package was released in January this year, with more than 80,000 downloads available.

The expansion pack works by starting a thread in the background every time the program is compiled, looking at the construction of the code. It also listens to specific methods and events in Visual Studio. When a specific badge rating or operation is monitored, there will be a pop-up prompt, and a new badge will be awarded, as well as updated to Channel9 's developer files and high scores.

Every time you get a badge, the system automatically generates a unique page with your photos, badges, and corresponding descriptions. You can forward or share it to Facebook via tweet, or you can use the visual Studio achievements component in your blog to show all the achievements you've got.

The update to the visual Studio Achievements Expansion pack was an increase of 15 new achievements, all developed for Windows Azure. For those in. NET and Windows Azure Developer on Visual Studio, this is an opportunity to showcase your Windows Azure tools and SDK's extraordinary technology.

All Windows Azure achievements are easy-to-use and practical achievements. They target a wide range of technologies on Windows Azure cloud platforms, including practices for applying Visual Studio Publishing to Windows Azure, for some features (such as Windows Azure Service Bus) and Toolkit use (for example, social Gaming Toolkit for Windows Azure).

Each achievements's description includes documentation links and related guidance courses, through which programmers can learn their unfamiliar technical features.
