According to foreign media reports, the Silicon Valley enterprise management software provider Workday has appointed Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang as its board director to help the company continue to develop the cloud software business.
Workday said the company is making technological changes in the fields of cloud computing, mobile and large data, and Yang's arrival will bring new ideas to the company's development.
Jerry Yang has been a Yahoo executive executive since 1995, when Yahoo was founded until January 2012. In addition, Yang also set up a venture capital company AME Cloud Ventures.
Mr Yang said that while workday continued to expand in new areas, he hoped to make use of the experience he had accumulated in his previous work to plan for the company.
Workday Company mainly provides human resources and financial management cloud computing software for large enterprises. As an Up-and-comer, the company has become one of the challengers to Oracle and SAP, an established software company. Currently, most of the company's revenue comes from software sales, which involve payroll, financial management, attendance records, and employee expenditure management.
