Ten years ago he was a teacher who was not popular with his students, and he then set up a camera in his bedroom, recording a few minutes of lectures every day, and as the lectures improved, in 2011, he opened a public course for MOOC-machine learning, This leads directly to the birth of the Coursera. This is MOOC's 2.0, the teacher according to the characteristics of MOOC, specially for it to record a small segment of video, usually a video time of not more than 15 minutes, after watching the video also need to complete the relevant exercises, if you have a problem with the teacher and the students to discuss the course, some courses also need to see the exam, Successfully complete the course and you will be able to obtain a certificate.

At the same time as Wunda founded Coursera, MIT and Harvard co-founded EDX, dedicated to the second-generation public class education. The second generation of public classes has one feature, many of which emphasize self-contained, that is, he provides all the information you need to study this course, including videos, exercises, handouts, and no additional preparation. Now that MOOC has swept the globe, many universities with a certain level have either joined Cousera, or have joined EDX, and have many organizations offering MOOC courses, but the two organizations that derive from universities and deep keyinn education methods have become rivals. Tsinghua University in China has been involved, but it seems that in the places where famous universities are gathered, they do not have much competitiveness.
