How does a Project Manager serve business personnel?

I personally understand that the main business work is to take tickets, make the products meet customer satisfaction, and collect money. Of course, this simple process requires many prerequisites. as a project manager, based on the current status of this product and my daily work experience in the business section, I think the project manager can serve the business personnel as follows:

1. fully understand the product

    •  What is the product, what features it has, and what customers it serves
    • Product Positioning, applicable to those fields, current market conditions, and development trends
    • Products of the same type have their own advantages, disadvantages, and outstanding characteristics.
    • Product business contacts with customers can bring customers with favorable and unfavorable aspects
    • Some technical terms in the product and their connection with the Project Field

Ultimate goal: to communicate with business personnel on products without any obstacles and understand what they are talking about.

2. actively cooperate with bidding

    • Provide authentic and accurate product information, equipment, and performance parameters(Except for confidential content)
    • Prepare samples for demonstrationDemoProgram, Build the runtime environment
    • Analyze and obtain the most realistic requirements of customers, and provide feasible solutions for business personnel to choose
    • Costs resulting from some changes in demand are estimated for the bid of business personnel.

Final Goal: To provide valuable information, ensure that the content of the bidding documents is authentic, sufficient, and feasible, meet the requirements of the customer, and provide favorable conditions for winning the bidding

3. Ensure Product Quality

    • Product implementation contract content, and approved by users
    • Stable and reliable products. If an error occurs, the normal business of the customer is not affected.
    • The product complies with customers' operation habits and business processes.
    • The product complies with relevant national laws and industry standards

Ultimate Goal: users trust and actively use products to build a good reputation

4. Maintain customer relationships (Opportunities for customers)

    • Individual wear clean, wear badges, establish a good corporate image
    • Courtesy and proper speech, without negative impact on customers

    • Visit the customer if necessary

    • Provide product questions, suggestions, comments, and other information to business personnel

    • New requirements or opportunities outside of the product are provided to the business
    • Product development plan, new functions, and new features are presented to the business
    • Quick feedback to business when related policies and regulations change to affect products

Final Goal: keep the business informed of product development, environmental factors, and product-related events in a timely manner, and change from passive to active.
