As you know, in China, nine-year compulsory education + three-year high school equals twelve years, and in many Western countries, it is twelve or eleven years of compulsory education, however, many high school students in China (especially in mathematics) or even junior high school may have to wait for the University to study in the West. Why do Chinese students learn so much? Why does Chinese students lack a consensus on innovation called the world?
I will use a personal example to speculate that it may be nonsense. I hope you will not be surprised.
During the summer vacation, I once gave my younger brother (the second year of primary school and the third year of primary school) tutoring lessons and encountered a mathematical problem (the Second Year Book exercises 40th pages, a total of 120 pages, it means that the corresponding mathematical knowledge has been learned For A Long Time ):
Title: in a tug-of-war competition, the winning team can win a prize of 48 books, and the team can also win 24 books.
The topic has an illustration, which clearly shows that each team consists of eight members.
Problem:
(1) How many books are won by the winning team on average?
(2) Can you ask other mathematical questions and answer them?
Result: My brother's performance was confusing. For the first question, he can easily get the answer, but the second question gets stuck.
The second question is clearly divided into two steps. The first step is to raise the question; the second step is to answer the question.
But he couldn't raise any questions, so I gave another example: how many more books did the team win than the team wins?
Unexpectedly, he quickly gave the answer.
I asked him to find a problem. After a dozen minutes of racking my brains, I came out: How many books are missing from the winning team's prize? (PS: Well, I remember that I did a lot of tips in elementary school)
So I want to think about something else like what I said.
After a long wait .....
It can be seen that the set mode is very simple, and it is difficult to think about it by yourself. However, China's education from elementary school to university is basically a set of models. There are a lot of repeated questions and few escape from textbooks (of course, they can come from their own ideas, rather than the more professional theorem), of course such problems will be gradually improved. For example, this question is good, but in rural areas, the qualifications of teachers are very poor, most of them are farmers with knowledge. Maybe they graduated from elementary school or junior high school, maybe they are busy with farm work... use teaching as part-time job.
