Install VMware first.

Double-click the install file to display the Welcome screen:

Then click Next:

Here choose Typical, continue next, then select the installation destination path, until completed, there is a step in the middle to enter the serial number, online search one can, relatively simple, not introduced, after installation to restart the computer.

Installing CentOS in two VMware

After rebooting, open the installed VMware, select File-new-virtual Machine,

Choose Custom,next here:

Select workstation6.5-7.x, Next:

Choose the third item here, install it later, and make it easy to configure. Select I'll install the operating system Later,next:

Choose Linux,version here to choose CentOS, because it is 32-bit, so do not choose Centos-64bit,next:

Select the path where the image file is stored, enter the virtual machine name and the installation path, Next:

Select the number of CPU cores allocated to the virtual machine, and VMware will warn you if the number of CPUs selected for the virtual machine exceeds the actual number of native CPUs. Next:

Virtual memory allocation, generally choose the default 1024MB on the line, Next:

Here is the network type assignment, the network type allocation divides into three kinds, bridge,nat and host-only, the approximate difference is

1 BRIDGE: Equivalent to the host and virtual machine connected to the same hub, virtual machines and hosts configured on the same network segment

2 NAT: Using VMNET8, the host to open the necessary VMware services, such as Vmvare DHCP, virtual machine set to DHCP mode, of course, can also be manually set to vmnet1 the same network segment, more trouble

3 host-only: Use Vmnet1, direct and host interconnect, can use Ifconfig to view the configuration situation

Choose Nat,next here:

Select the IO controller type, select the default, Next:

Select the virtual hard disk type, here to create a, next:

Select the type of disk you want to create, select the default, Next:

Select the size of the disk space by default

Set the virtual image file name, default, Next:

Create complete, confirm virtual machine information, click Finish.

Next, on the virtual machine that you just created on VMware, right-click the settings

Click "CD/DVD (IDE)" To open the virtual Machine Disc Settings page, click "Use ISO image File" and click "Browse" to select the image ISO file to install.

Then click "Power on" to start the virtual machine.

Select the second one here, then enter to start the installation

Check the disc, choose Skip to

Select the installation language, here to choose English

Select the keyboard, select us, Next

Select Default, Next

Here is the format of the virtual disk just set, you can choose "Reinitialize all", other files will not be lost

Enter the host name, Next:

Select time Zone, default

Write your own root password, is the system Super Administrator password (user name default is root)

Choose to create a custom layout

Double-click the free bar to pop up the Add Partition window

My partition layout:

/boot:200m

/: 10G (not too Large)

/home:5g

Swap (extended partition): 2G (typically twice times memory)

Idle (remaining space as idle, standby)

"The above is the size of the partition with the default space of 20G and Memory 1G" selected at Vmwar installation

You can also use your own partitioning scheme.

When creating a swap extended partition, file system type select: Swap

The final partitioning situation is as follows.

Select: Next, select; format

Select: Write modifications to disk

Choose Next, select: Install boot loader in/DEV/SDA, select: Change device, confirm as selection (this is the general default). Next

Then you enter the installation process and wait patiently ...

Complete. Automatic restart. Then enter your account number and password. Special attention, login account is root, password is the password set above.
