Windows SERVER2008R2 Failover Clustering

1 First of all, planning your own environment

It's all done in VMware.

Server AA public IP 192.168.1.120

Heartbeat Private IP 10.0.0.10

Server BB public IP 192.168.1.121

Heartbeat Private IP 10.0.0.11

Domain Control server DG IP 192.168.1.130

Storage server IP 192.168.1.140

Description: The storage server was simulated with FreeNAS software.

2 Modify the two server hostname, and configure all the IP, ensure that all can ping, shut down the firewall.

3 Installing the storage FreeNAS

Virtual memory 1G or more, or it will error.

Plan: HDD 1 20G, install FreeNAS

HDD 2 40G storage disk, mounted to server, used to install the SQL2008 database

4 Install the domain controller on the 3rd Windows SERVER2008R2 Server, and both server AA and server BB are joined to the domain. After joining the domain, restart it to log on as a domain user. Because the 2008R2 cluster must be a domain environment.

6 Next, Discover the storage drive with iSCSI initiator on two servers in the domain environment

After discovery, assign a good letter, online, initialize, new simple volume ... Ensure the size of the two server hard disks, the letter name, the order is identical.

When the server AA is hung off, the BB server automatically takes over.

8 Installing SQL2008R2 on the server AA

The DTC is installed first on the server AA for easy management.
