Beijing time, April 10 morning, according to foreign media reported yesterday, Adobe in a filing to the SEC declaration documents complained that Flash technology was completely rejected by Apple, which may affect Adobe's business. One industry source said the move highlighted Adobe's possible request for government agencies to intervene. Two companies have been in the business of calling for government intervention in Apple's ipod touch, the iphone and the latest ipad, which do not support Adobe's Flash technology. Not long ago, Apple changed its iphone OS Developer license to prohibit Third-party developers from using flash technology to develop applications. Adobe has therefore listed Apple's rejection of flash technology as a "risk factor" in its filing to the SEC. "Whether it's a new iphone OS, a Third-party product, a platform or a device, like an iphone or an ipad, Apple makes our products useless and persuades our customers to use other technologies, and our business is likely to be compromised," Adobe said in a paper. "Apple CEO Steve Jobs has banned the ipad from supporting Flash technology and has denounced Adobe for saying that Flash consumes too much system resources." Adobe has had to forge alliances with other manufacturers to compete with Apple for the netbook market. However, although Adobe is widely used on other system platforms, the company is still very concerned about its competitive power. "The importance of the Apple platform is growing," said Michael Gartenberg, partner Michael Gattenberg Altimeter Group, a market research firm. The filing clearly shows that Adobe is worried about Apple shielding Flash technology Zhongzhong. This seems to highlight the possibility that Adobe might ask for government intervention. Apparently, Adobe is starting to fight back in both speech and action. In future, we will know how the government views the matter and how it will handle it. "Who is the loser Gattenberg that the regulatory filings underscore the importance of the Apple platform in Adobe's view. Some people think that after jobs decided to block flash technology, the loser is actually apple. In fact, there are those who argue that the long-term existence of the ipad is a problem because of the lack of support for Flash. "Unless Apple takes other steps, the company's decision to block Flash will inhibit the ipad Xiaoshi," said Francis Sideco, chief analyst at Francis Sidko, a marketing research firm. The key to Apple's highly touted ipad use is web browsing and Web content consumption. Flash technology is now widely used in many websites, online games and video services, does not support Flash, Apple users are not with these content. "But Apple doesn't seem to care that the publicThe division lists a long list of "compatible ipad" sites that do not require flash support, including most news, magazine and broadcast sites, such as CNN, Reuters, the New York Times, video website Vimeo, Time magazine, the official U.S. League of Professional Baseball website, the White House website, the People Magazine and photo sharing services Flickr. Apple also allows webmasters to apply to join the list. (Xiao Bin)
