Beida and Renesas jointly set up "Peking University-renesas t-engine Joint Laboratory"

The Software Institute of Peking University recently Renesas with Renesas Asia Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the company, two joint "Peking University-renesas T-engine Laboratory" dedicated to the development of embedded systems, and focus on the open standard platform applied to Embedded system: T-engine. The embedded systems studied in this laboratory will be widely used in various fields including mobile phones, electronic devices and production control systems.

The research project of-renesas T-engine Joint Laboratory of Peking University involves digital television and related applications, mobile phones and related applications, audio-visual codec, wireless networks and related technologies, and more.

As a partner, Renesas has a t-engine board for the lab and will provide technical support, training and internship programs. The Tron, which was led by Professor Sakamoto Huan of Tokyo University in the more than 20 years ago, is the core of T-engine. Today, the Tron real-time operating system has become the most widely used embedded operating system, with more than 1 billion sales worldwide.

Renesas will also assist in the development of T-engine Forum members in China. The T-engine forum is a major international alliance of about 340 companies, including Renesas Technology, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, NEC, Samsung, IBM, Microsoft, etc. The T-engine forum is dedicated to the development, standardization and promotion of t-engine architectures and the establishment of a pervasive computer environment.
