ebay South Korean company announces close to site

Tencent Science and technology news June 27 News, according to the U.S. Science and Technology information website Recode quoted people familiar with the words reported that online mall ebay, is the poor performance of the small and medium-sized merchants of the software business, clean-up, which is called a go software will shut down the service.

It is reported that ebay's E-commerce software business is subordinate to its Magento department, which mainly provides the software and related services for enterprises to provide e-business services.

Sources say the shutdown's electric-business software, in addition to the go for small and medium-sized enterprises, includes similar prostores. Currently, ebay is negotiating to transfer the Go software client to rival Bigcommerce.

Currently, the ebay and Bigcommerce spokesmen have not confirmed or denied the message.

Ebay acquired the Magento company three years ago, which mainly offers three electronic business software for stores, two of which are mainly for brand makers and retailers, and go for small and medium sized companies.

The go market is less competitive and has little real market share compared to rivals such as Bigcommerce, Shopify, according to several sources.

In March, Magento announced more than 10 layoffs, and said it would concentrate its resources on electronic business software for big companies in the future.

Prostores is an older electronic business software service that can help small and medium-sized businesses shop online, and over the past two years, ebay has been migrating customers of that service to newer go products.

Ebay's rival in this field, Bigcommerce, founded in 2009 and headquartered in Texas Austin, won a total of 75 million dollars in venture capital, it is not clear how many of ebay's SME customers will be forwarded to the company.

It is reported that ebay is in the most difficult period since the company was founded, and recently exposed a series of internal friction and trouble-shooting scandals. Industry analysts and investors generally think that ebay should split the more promising payment business, PayPal, but ebay's management refused, and the break-up has seriously distracted ebay.
