Etsy's Heather Burkman revealed that a few days ago Etsy through a product recommendation mail conducted a survey. They send mail that recommends the same product to half of their customers, while the other half recommends a customer's preferred product based on the customer's shopping habits. It turned out that the purchase rate of customers who received customized mail was one-fold more than that of the other half.
This new product promotion method not only can help customers to choose more suitable for their own products, the most important thing is to help sellers to achieve better sales performance, but also increased the exposure of many shops.
They also said they would test more marketing strategies for their customers in Etsy, and that the future would focus more on the actual shopping experience of their customers, so that they would be more responsive to customer needs.
At present, the Etsy platform sells about 20 million kinds of goods. In 2013, Etsy sold a total of 1.35 billion dollars worth of merchandise.
