Young friends more, update faster, show more negative feelings and dirty words, like to discuss themselves; older people like to write longer posts and talk more about others and families.

40-year-olds and 20-year-olds have almost as many pictures, but fewer tags.

Twitter's 26-34 age group accounts for 30% of the population. Twitter has fewer young people than Facebook.

Among the 18-24-year-old users, 85% followed their friends, 54% followed celebrities and 29% followed family members.
