It doesn't matter if people think you're working. It is important that you do not think of yourself as a part-time job, to look at the angle, is the company to pay you, pay for your tuition, practice your own ability and experience. You encounter product managers, technical experts, or founders of the company, learn from them the experience of success, and even the lessons of failure. If you join this company, the company died two years later, congratulations, you do not lose a penny, you participate in a living company from life to death of the example, you can avoid the same mistakes. You've lost a penny, you've got a company dead, you've learned how to avoid the lessons of failure, what a value. It's much more useful than how much you pay for a big, famous company.

When people see you, they say you work in a big company in Beijing. It's all vanity.
