Since Stephen Snovsky's resignation last year, the post of Microsoft's Equipment division, including surface and the Xbox, landed on Larson Green's shoulders. However, Microsoft's takeover of the Nokia deal has left her future career in limbo. As part of the takeover plan, Microsoft announced that Elop, the CEO of Nokia, would return to Microsoft to replace Larson-Green as the head of the Microsoft Equipment and Studio Division. Just this week, Microsoft announced that Larson-Green would assume a new position as Microsoft's Global executive vice President Lurkey, the chief experience officer in charge of the service, and will be responsible for the hardware experience of Microsoft product Services, including office, Bing and Skype. The new job will allow Larson-Green to move closer to the area of product design that he loves, and to develop a range of mobile-first services. ' It's fun, ' she says, as she re/code on the technology information Web site at the Mobile World Congress, and it's like merging my past experiences in applications and Windows. I'm excited, it should be fun. Here is the access content (question and answer form): Re/code (hereinafter called R): What prompted you to accept the position? Zhu Li Larsen-Green (hereinafter Green): I like hardware. But not very close to the product design I expected. After Elop joined, I learned that I was going to have an opportunity, which prompted me to rethink my position and what I wanted to do. R: Does Microsoft still want you to offer other position considerations? Green: Yes. For example, stay in the original department, work for Steven, etc. But I think the position is exciting and a new part of the strategic direction that Satia Nadra the company. That could be his first strategic move. I am delighted to be a candidate for the implementation of the strategy. R: You have been working in Microsoft for 21 years, and now Microsoft's integrity change period, what do you think of the current Microsoft? Green: I think Microsoft is now reassessing and thinking about what our foothold will be in the future and how we can further help our customers. It's a great team atmosphere. R: When people talk about the future of technology-leading companies, Microsoft's name has become less frequent outside the world. Do you care about that? Green: Of course, but I'm focused on the customer influence we have. We use a lot of influence, and maybe you can call it an authority bubble, but we have a powerful influence around the world. R: How does it feel to be the first woman in charge of the Windows team? Green: It's interesting.Over the years, I have worked closely with the Snovsky ceremony to study the strategy. I push the team to start developing new products to shorten the distance from the market. I'm also responsible for research and development and testing. Depending on the size of the management team, you need to adjust the different modes of communication. R: Microsoft is about to turn around in a relatively short time to become a mobile phone, Tablet PC and wearable equipment manufacturers, what do you think of Microsoft's prospects in these markets? Green: I think the vision of a computer on each desk has now become a smart device in everyone's hands, every pocket and every plane the user faces. We will develop the products you are concerned about. That's the beauty of the hardware. R: In your new job, do you expect to be able to do more than just develop Windows devices and develop products for iOS and Android platforms? Green: Of course, people need access to our services and access to the data they store on other devices. R: Will this be a new field for you? Do you have to go out and buy an iphone or Android device? Green: You know, I use every product. I have an iphone, a Samsung Galaxy Note and an HTC One. I'm a technical control. I also have Fitbit and Feulband fitness wrist strap and so on, all products. You can take a look at my living room, I have all the equipment, TiVo, PS 4 and Xbox One. I think you have to live an ideal life, to understand how people use technology, how these technologies fit into people's daily lives, and the benefits that these technologies can bring to humans. Most of the time, I use a Nokia phone. R: In your public comments, one of the most concerned, you suggest, is that there may be too many Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows Phone, and so on, in the number of Microsoft's three windows-based departments. But Microsoft still has three operating systems, is that still a lot? Green: (Head of Windows) Terry (Melson, Terry Myerson) has been talking about the way we will integrate our products in the future, and the user experience that can be maintained only on platforms such as phones that are flat to PCs. The misunderstanding of this view means that the ARM architecture is the end of Windows or Windows RT, but obviously this is not going to happen. R: To combine all of Microsoft's past achievements with the mobile future of the Application Center, Microsoft unveiled Windows 8, a huge project. However, people have not seen Microsoft's achievements in this respect. Green: Change is extremely difficult. In order to reduce the obstacles encountered during the transition period, I am bound to think. I think that change is imperative. I don't think it would help to build another Windows 7.
