Orange speed up France HSPA: down to 14.4Mbps

C114 Beijing time February 1 morning News (SHANGMU) France Telecom's Orange announced that it is upgrading its HSDPA network, the downlink rate will rise from the current 7.2Mbps to a more significant 14.4Mbps.　　Orange first began to accelerate in Paris, France in January, and will promote new, more high-speed mobile services in other French cities including Bordeaux, Lance, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Nice, Strasbourg, Toulon and Toulouse during February.　　According to Orange, if the network is running at its highest speed, users can download 5Mb of files on a new, faster mobile network for only 3 seconds, compared with 7 seconds on a previously slow HSDPA network.　　Operators also announced that the upgrade was part of its ongoing effort to secure a larger share of the mobile data services market. Orange recently nationalized British advertising sales company Unanimis. November 2009, Orange advertising receptacle announced expansion in the U.S. and South Africa market. The move means that orange now has access to online advertising and SMS ads in these places, offering specific locations for advertisers eager to push products and services to the US, and orange advertising receptacle in the UK, Germany and Spain.
