Now, in addition to the hope that they can earn more money, migrant workers on welfare security requirements, awareness of the rights of protection is also rising. In the survey, most of the new generation of migrant workers pay great attention to the issue of labor rights, more than 50% of the respondents regularly through television, newspapers, the internet and other media to understand government policy information.  55% of the people are trade unionists, and if they encounter difficulties in their work and life, 26% say they first turn to the union organization for help, and 6.5% of the government departments are selected. The salary is not high complained that the survey shows that in the general increase in wages this year, 16% of the respondents still have an average wage of less than 1030 yuan/month, of which 1030-1500 yuan a month accounted for 28.5%, 1500-2000 Yuan accounted for 34.6%, 2000 Yuan 3000 yuan accounted for 17 %。 That is, 80% of Guangzhou's new generation of migrant workers monthly income of less than 2000 yuan. Nearly half of the people reported that unequal pay for equal work was the most unjust treatment they received, and they believed that the city's restrictions on migrant workers and the unreasonable charges against migrant workers. Labor economic rights and interests, such as wages and benefits are not guaranteed. Half of the people did not participate in social security because of the precarious job.  It is noteworthy that three adults in the survey have no social security at all in their work units.
