The importance of smartphones in the eyes of 1/3 of Americans

According to foreign media reports, a national survey launched by Telenav found that one-third of Americans would rather give up a week of sexual life than leave their smartphones as mobile devices are rooted in people's lives.

Telenav found that people were willing to give up a range of activities as long as they could use smartphones, and more than 50% said they were willing to stay away from caffeine, chocolate, etc. in a week, but could not leave their iphones or BlackBerry. More interestingly, 22% of respondents said they would rather leave their toothbrush than have a smartphone.

Telenav found that 70% willing to give up drinking, 20% willing to give up the computer. 66% smartphone users said they were sleeping with their phones, and 31% smartphone users said they would keep looking at their phones as they moved.

Telenav's findings coincide with recent psychologists ' findings that people prefer to play with their smartphones compared to interacting with others. More and more people sleep with their own mobile phone, constantly looking at information, worry about missing any information.

Another study, conducted by OkCupid, found that Twitter-heavy addicts were constantly taking out their phones to see the latest tweets. This makes them disconnected from the world around them, including their loved ones.
