Tencent Science and Technology long song March 11 compiled 4 days ago, the Malaysian Airlines MH370 flight to fly through the South China Sea from the radar disappeared, the machine uploaded 239 people. Large-scale search and rescue activities followed, with 40 ships and 34 aircraft in 9 countries or regions involved in the rescue, but no clues were found. This is unbelievable: despite all the incredible technology that humans have developed, a Boeing airliner carrying 239 people will disappear. The final radar signal before the plane disappeared was the key to finding the flight, but it was shocking that the signal was extremely accurate and could only be positioned into thousands of square miles of open water. Today's technology has allowed us to locate smartphones all over the world, with only a few meters of error, which can be traced to such a large aircraft, why has it become a tricky thing? In the words of Malaysian civil aviation chief, MH370 's fate is a mystery. The Boeing 777 plane took off from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, where it suddenly disappeared at the height of the Afterall cruise. The whole process did not send out any distress signals, and the local weather conditions were very good. Judging by the radar signal, the final location of the flight is located in South China Sea, south of Vietnam, which is the focus of the current search and rescue. But one theory is that after radar detected the final signal, the plane turned back, meaning the plane could be located hundreds of miles off the Malacca Strait. In the absence of more information, it was suspected that the aircraft might have suffered a terrorist attack. As far as I'm concerned, the most shocking thing about the AA flight is that we don't know what happened to the 239 of lives on the plane until we found the black box on it. Unless we find the black box, we will have no idea what happened to them except for the final radar signal. We had no idea what conversation was going on in the cockpit, we didn't know if the plane was in bad hands or if anyone had hijacked it. All this will be a mystery until the black box is found. However, if MH370 does fall into the sea, the black box may also be lost forever. In Air France AF447 flight, rescue workers spent two months to find the wreckage of the aircraft, more than a year to find the cockpit voice recorder, and the black box is still unaccounted for. The black box is equipped with an underwater locator that can be used for at least 30 days and can be detected outside about 2 miles (about 3.2 kilometers). But as the area reached thousands of square miles and the average water depth reached 1 miles, it was difficult to find the difficulty imaginable. Consider a problem: GPS and other radio triangulation methods are already ubiquitous in the modern era, capable of locating smartphones with a few meters of precision. With a dedicated ground tracking network, the positioning accuracy of automobiles and equipment can be reduced to a few centimeters. Even if GPS or radio-tracking signals disappear, inertial guidance (space speculation) has been so precise in the 60 's that it can pinpoint the location of nuclear intercontinental missiles on the other side of the Earth, and even send the Apollo spacecraft to space. There are also a variety of linksPick。 On the ground, a variety of commercial and government networks can be found everywhere, providing data connections almost anywhere. Although it is much more difficult to water, satellites can still be well covered in many waters-indeed, communications satellites have been well covered in parts of Asia. Finally, even if the plane is out of the reach of the satellite and radio, it can still emit a rich low-frequency radio signal to detect its location thousands of of miles away. This is also the main means by which aircraft and air control agencies communicate. So why would a plane like MH370 hide all the secrets in the black box? Why does the plane not keep all the black box information from being transmitted so that we can get a sense of its exact height and other important information at any time? Simply put, there is no good reason to explain the problem. If you want to answer in detail, it is because the aircraft produces too much data and no one is willing to develop effective ways to transmit, receive and store such data. Events such as MH370 are extremely rare and may well be one reason why the airline industry has been slow to develop such technology. The total number of flights in 2013 was about 36 million and the total number of deaths was only 281, of which only 105 were from commercial jets. By comparison, the number of people who died in a car accident in the United States in 2012 reached 34,080. Even so, it's hard to believe that 2014-year planes still can't send out a location message every few milliseconds. Low-frequency bandwidth is enough to allow a plane to send the data to the nearest ground receiving station. As you may have heard, some planes can even provide WiFi access to passengers. That being the case, it is unbelievable that such a network could not return flight data in real time. Perhaps we can refer to the way the smartphone, the aircraft's data transmission mode adjustment: It can be at any time through the VHF transmission of basic flight data, and complete data flow will be able to use the communication satellite through the black box issued. As a result, the black box may be able to record more than 100 variables, but at most we need only a few megabytes of bandwidth to transmit the basic data, and the rate of several kbps is sufficient. Air France AF477 's black box has not yet been found, and now, the MH370 flight is once again causing global concern, hope that the aviation industry can really learn from the flight process of data monitoring technology to give enough attention.
