The situation facing the cloud

Today, cloud computing is increasingly recognized by us, cloud computing performance how? About this question. There are three related cloud computing models. Using different modes will determine different performance. Use the associated SaaS system to handle standard web latency and those who can not tell you too much about performance. However, those using sophisticated "big data" systems will tell you many different things.

You need to consider several performance modes; performance modes can be divided into three basic categories:
◆ Customer oriented (lack of performance)
◆ for the cloud (performance advantages)
◆ mixed type (poor performance, depends on the implementation)

Customer-facing cloud computing architectures refer to these systems: Cloud computing providers, often SaaS providers, interact continuously with users over the Internet. The problem here is not that the cloud providers are slow to provide services, but that there is a constant delay between machine-to-machine backend sessions between the SaaS provider and the browser.

In addition to creating a costly, proprietary link between your company and your SaaS provider, you are largely frustrated, but doing so will immediately reduce the value SaaS has. Customer-facing platforms are obviously not as fast as applications running on the local network; however, in most cases users will not notice this delay unless there is network saturation.

Cloud-oriented cloud computing architecture refers to these systems: Processes are carried out within the cloud. Most IaaS providers and some PaaS providers fall into this category. Such systems typically provide better performance than on-premise systems because they have access to far more virtualized resources and can dynamically allocate these resources.

For example, you might have a database query that causes internal internal systems to saturate and take more than a few hours to run. In contrast, how many servers need to be added to support dramatically increased throughput, how many servers a cloud computing provider with enough resources can provide to meet requirements, and a result set that can be returned in minutes. This shows the flexibility and scalability cloud computing offers and is also a significant selling point for cloud computing when balancing performance and cost.

As you may have guessed, hybrid cloud computing model takes full advantage of the customer-facing cloud computing model and the cloud-oriented cloud computing model, usually used in platform as a service system, but the proportion of these two cloud computing models are different . The idea is that you can mix and match user interaction with highly scalable, on-demand backend processing. The downside is that the more you connect with your browser, the longer you delay it. Thus, the solution to this architecture is to optimize the interaction between the cloud-based back-end server and the browser. You can do this with some older distributed application architecture.
