Samsung in India started using its own Tizen system smart phone Tizen Z1, but because of its low configuration and application software too little cold. Although the industry commented that Z1 was Samsung's first Tizen cell phone, in fact, Samsung released a Tizen smartphone named Z last year, which looked at the midrange smartphone market (at least configured to be higher than Z1), but nearly a year after the release, The industry has no news of this mobile phone, or even forgotten, otherwise how when Samsung in India recently released Z1, there will be many people think it is Samsung's first Tizen smartphone.

In fact, the Tizen system application software as early as the release of Z is already obvious fact, although with the recent Z1 release nearly a year interval, but as Tizen owner of Samsung can not know Tizen status and competitiveness. So why would Samsung release Z1? This has to involve Tizen's other owner, Intel.

Insiders familiar with the Tizen background know that Tizen is a hybrid of the Bada system that was developed by Intel's Meego system, which is designed for smartphones and tablets, and Samsung. It should be explained that the Meego system was almost aborted by Nokia's abandonment, and Bada was almost abandoned because of poor performance in the smartphone market.

At the time, Intel, while supporting Android in smartphones, has not been able to make a difference in the smartphone market, so it is a natural choice to seek a place in the smartphone market, the main reason why Intel teamed up with Nokia to develop Meego. But Nokia's abandonment has made Intel face the choice of either abandoning Meego or singling out its own. But both options are the same for Intel, losing the opportunity to exist and develop in the smartphone market.

So finding a handset maker similar to Nokia's volume is critical. Perhaps coincidentally, Samsung's Bada because the market performance is poor, is also in the dilemma of persistence or abandonment, Intel and Samsung hit naturally. Although it is hit, but from a strategic and urgent point of view, Tizen for Intel is much more critical, after all, Samsung's main attack or Android, and so far is still the boss of the Android camp, so Tizen in the success of the smartphone has no real impact on Samsung.

Although Intel and Samsung did not disclose the details of Tizen cooperation, especially in Tizen's investment. But it is easy to conclude from our analysis that Intel is certainly a big head. Since it is the big head, as the small-headed Samsung, natural to finally make a gesture. What gesture? Of course is to release the use of Tizen system smartphone. However, from Samsung Tizen smartphone before the frequent jump ticket to see, Tizen itself does exist a lot of weaknesses and problems.

At least from Samsung's point of view, Tizen's weaknesses and problems make it very difficult for handsets based on the system to be competitive in the marketplace. After the introduction of the Z and Z1 cold and spit The fact that Samsung's repeated delays are justified. So the question is, since Samsung knows Tizen competitiveness, why do they have to release Tizen mobile phone? There is only one explanation, that is, to Intel. Using market facts to prove to Intel that Tizen in the smartphone market is not likely to succeed, rather than Samsung does not cooperate.

It may be said that Samsung's two Tizen phones do not use Intel's chips, how to prove that Intel does not? We ask, in turn, if the Tizen phone with the ARM architecture chip is not working, is it necessary to use Intel's chips? This is precisely the logic of Samsung. At the same time, given that Samsung Z and Z1 handsets are geared towards two different markets (low-end), Samsung has already completed the Tizen test for Intel from its own point of view, and Intel's efforts to Tizen the Samsung partner should be understandable.

So why does Samsung try so hard to please Intel? Of course, I want Intel not to give up support for Tizen. Because despite the Tizen in the smartphone market (as mentioned above, it doesn't matter to Samsung), in wearable devices such as smart watches and smart homes, such as smart TVs, Samsung also wants to try to build the possibility of an independent Tizen ecosystem. After all, these two markets have just started, and none of the ecosystems have an absolute advantage, and Samsung is in the lead. For example, Samsung smart watches and smart TVs using Tizen have been listed. It looks like Samsung is playing really well.

But it should be explained that Intel's smartphone dream was also awakened when Samsung was impeccable with the Z and Z1 to Intel. It will have to continue to struggle with the Android ecosystem, which has many rivals such as Qualcomm and MediaTek, but the past few years have proven that Intel has been tough but has had little effect.

Maybe the loss of Tizen's phone Intel should rethink its need and sense of fighting in the smartphone market, but Samsung has found new market opportunities for Intel's Tizen, or for continuing to work with Intel, the wearable equipment and smart home market, and the recent moves by Intel These markets are also the way Intel is working.
