The development of China's economy is a big issue in the world. In the process, China's high-tech industry will play a very important role. There will be a group of such companies, like Nintendo in Japan or Samsung in South Korea, to become a representative of China and overseas. But these companies will be different, because China has a huge market size, these companies will also have a large scale. Like me, sitting in a Chinese company like this would be a very interesting thing to do.

A very difficult thing to know about the future, 20 years later, what kind of interaction we will take, how these interactions affect our lives, it is difficult to predict. The future we are talking about today is very interesting, but it is something that will happen in three years and five years. Predicting the distant future is difficult and not necessarily meaningful.

What do people think about our world today, 100 years ago? From the pictures in the 1900 or so, look at the future they describe. This picture, for example, was painted by the Germans in the 20th century, and he thought it was in 2000 that our world looked like this: there was a steam engine locomotive, a huge building on the rails, and someone driving a wagon to pull some wheat or other food. No one had predicted that we would have a car by 2000, so they imagined the steam locomotive and the wagon. I like another picture very much, in the picture this person can fly in the sky. Everyone wants to be such a person, but there is not much progress in 100 years. These are really cool and we can get some inspiration from that. We can envision the future, but it's hard to predict correctly.

Another point I would like to say to you is that information drives the development of all technologies. Maybe we didn't know the information so well.

Information also expands social information, such as demographic information. By 1900, when there were 2 billion people on Earth, 100 years later, the population was nearly 7 billion, and in a few years it would have reached almost 9 billion. People at that time may not have predicted the growth rate of the population. There are many factors that determine population growth. Population growth, there will be greater market, there are more results of the concept and possible. For entrepreneurs, there will be challenges, environmental resources challenges, and pollution. All of these are the same, both good and bad side.

Is the relationship, the scientific change and the technology in contributing to the change

Before 1920, women had no right to vote. 100 years later, what kind of world became? When women became part of the workforce, she changed a lot of things. But it was hard to predict such a change. And now, the pace of change is faster. And why? There are many factors in this. I would like to say three factors.

One is the relationship between the various institutions of our society. 100 years ago, not too many entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are making progress, subject to a lot of restrictions, involving the ecosystem of entrepreneurs, and there are VCs and angels. The Internet makes communication more convenient and developed.

One is scientific discovery. If there are any new inventions, discoveries, we can open a laboratory, can create a company, can be listed on the IPO. We have the software, we can spread it right away. These are all brand new, which was not 20 years ago. Academia, entrepreneurs, capital, and mutual connections make our changes become faster.

And one thing is technology. 500 years ago, people thought the world was flat, and now 4-year-olds went online to see a video and know that the earth is not flat, know how the Earth rotates, this is the beginning of his whole life. Maybe in the past a man had to use his whole life to learn, to study and prove things throughout his life. We are now taking out a book to learn in a few hours, so it makes the technology change faster.

Technology should serve to improve human life

Today, a large number of guests are studying various technologies, such as nanotechnology, brain-computer interface, artificial intelligence and biotechnology, as well as science. Over the next 10 to 20 years, we believe that these technologies will continue to change.

But the question is why do we have to do something like this, what drives us? This is actually a very interesting question. Ultimately, humanity will be defined as a collective, and we should co-operate as an industry. Technicians should also work together to deepen human vision and change human life. I don't think that's enough. At this stage, our goal seems to be more to make money. If you really want to make money, it may be hard to get bigger in the end.

If all of us think this way, the first thing to consider is how to be successful in business and how to be satisfied with your service. And you need to ensure that competitors do not have the idea to succeed.

All the technologies we do are to serve to improve human life. We use our ingenuity and all the technology, and everything will be improved.

From social statistics, even if there are many bad news every day, there are a lot of negative media news, there are a lot of bad things, but in fact our society becomes more and more safe. When we talk about making the right technology, we have to put these negative things out. People will complain and question, but if you use the idea to convince them, we will be strong together.

New opportunities in China

I would like to talk about China's new opportunities. Since 1978, China has opened to the outside. The internet came to China later. My own feeling is that from 2003 to 2004, the rapid accumulation of social capital in China, small companies began rapid changes. But foreign countries do not really understand China, do not know what is happening in China, this is a great opportunity.

When we look at the international market, when we go to research, do not be embarrassed, we have to have enthusiasm, China's service is very good, Chinese products are unbelievable. I think we have a very good foundation, we should put this perspective on the international. International users should be able to better understand us.

China is already very competitive, not just chasing, not just capital accumulation. The next step is a positive expansion. I think we can do that if we do this to China for the whole world is best.
