The 2010 Summer Davos (the new Champions Annual meeting) was held in Tianjin 13th to promote sustainable growth, as one of the mentors for the 2010 annual meeting of the new champions, Hari, executive director of the Confederation of Indian Industry and the joint organic Synthesis Chemical company. Bhartia describes the successful experiences of India and its enterprises in sustainable development. He said Indian companies have been trying to replace the petrochemical raw materials with different processes, the shortage of resources has brought technological innovation, and the Government has adopted a variety of environmental policies to promote enterprises to continue to build sustainable development model. The following is the full text of Hari S.bhartia: here to talk about two experience, first of all our history can be traced back to 25 years ago, at that time in our group's first group was established, when our first company is mainly chemical companies, the production of chemical products, in the early 80, Our petrochemical raw materials were scarce, and India was the country of sugarcane, and we created a business model of the heart, that is, we use sugarcane by-products to produce a range of chemical products. Then, we use different processes to replace the petrochemical raw materials, until today we are still doing this production. 25 years ago we were a very small factory, today our factory is much bigger, and we have a lot of research and development, we are also producing green ethanol, and we produce a lot of value-added products, so that we gain global leadership, including cost-structure leadership position. So the original restrictions, is actually prompting us to innovate, so that's why we can take this opportunity to create a very good business model, with sugar cane syrup, molasses, because the raw material of sugarcane is the sun and water, so in the early 80, we used syrup to replace petrochemical materials, So that our technology is very leading, we produce the final product is the same, but we adopt a completely different technology, as long as we do a full research and development efforts, research and resources to invest fully, we can be in the cost of leading position. Today our competitor is using petroleum products to produce the same final product, and we are producing it with sugar cane syrup, which makes us much cheaper. It is this scarcity of resources or lack of resources that brings us this innovation. Secondly, I would like to talk about the business model in the food industry. When a company talks about sustainable development, we should look at the economy of sustainable development and the environmental protection and social composition. We look at the economic sector, there is no doubt that as long as we can continuously reduce costs, then your profits will be able to continue to improve, and the optimization of resources are constantly improving. As regards environmental protection, we have a lot of environmental protection requirements, both government regulations and the pressure of non-government organizations, so we have to respond to our work and pressure at all levels and continue to build a sustainable development model; In fact, in the food industry, we take India as an example, If you look at the level of education and skill development in India, it is very unique in IndiaSpecial, India has 88% of people to go to work as soon as graduation, or directly from the school to work, only 12% of people can adhere to the completion of school, the drop-out rate is very high, such a number of people do not finish school to go to work, how do you give him sufficient skills? These people are born in poor families, are not well instructed and educated, how to get them to do their jobs with social and technical skills? There is no shortage of jobs in India today, and skills are missing. In our food industry enterprises, we employ 12000 people a year, our staff turnover rate is 20%, a lot of people out of school to our training after the cut, job-hopping and go to other companies, we will continue to replace 12,000 employees next year. For example, eight grade people, we give 3-4 months to develop a skill, in these three months, these people have learned a lot of very important skills, so that when they leave our company and go to the job market, they will find a second job with a hit rate of 80% to 90%, so this is a very interesting model. We put the sustainable development model in the sharing of human resources, although not in our company, but we for the benefit of society as a whole, we let the entire business community to contribute to the value of our human resources training, this is very useful experience.
