Kingsoft software three quarter revenue for 139 million U.S. dollars year-on-year growth of 55%

Beijing Time November 9 Evening News, Kingsoft Software (stock code: 3888. HK) officially released third quarter of 2014 earnings. Financial results showed that Jinshan Software 2014 three quarterly revenue of 852 million yuan (about 139 million U.S. dollars), a growth of 55%, the net profit attributable to shareholders of 231 million yuan (about 38 million U.S. dollars), the year-on-year increase of 41%.

In the third quarter of 2014, revenues from online games, Cheetah Mobile and office software and other businesses were 304 million yuan, 446 million yuan and 102 million yuan, respectively, of 36%, 52% and 12% of total receipts. The company's gross margin in the third quarter was 712 million yuan (about 116 million U.S. dollars), up 51% per cent year-on-year.

As of the three quarter of this year, Jinshan software mobile end products installed in the world has been more than 1.1 billion, the monthly number of active users up to 410 million.

In the third quarter, the average daily maximum number of simultaneous users of Kingsoft software group online games was 600,000, up 8% from the previous quarter, up 1% from a year earlier.

In the third quarter, the Cheetah mobile revenue reached 446 million yuan (about 73 million U.S. dollars), an increase of 155% per cent year-on-year, mainly due to the strong performance of online advertising services and internet value-added services. Revenue from the mobile side has reached 24%, compared with 8% in the same period last year. By the end of September, the Cheetah Mobile Global Mobile end product installation capacity of 860 million, the monthly number of active users up to 340 million.

By the end of September, WPS full range of products on the global mobile end of the number of installed users 300 million, of which overseas users up to 110 million, monthly active users nearly 60 million.

The cost of research and development in the third quarter of 2014 (excluding government funding) was 272.6 million yuan, up 22% from the previous quarter, up 61% from a year earlier. (Yu Wu)
