ADMIN5 News, according to foreign media reports, MySpace founder Christivov (Chris DeWolfe) said in an interview recently, he hopes to expand the current social gaming business through acquisitions. Divov acquired the social gaming development company Mindjolt this March.

Divov, the founder of MySpace, has led the site to beat Friendster and become the world's largest social networking site for more than 125 million users. In 2005, Divov sold MySpace to News Corp at a price of 580 million dollars. Since then, the pace of MySpace has slowed, and eventually Facebook has surpassed it. Divov left MySpace in April 2009.

After nearly a year of silence, Divov again in the public eye this April. Divov bought Mindjolt, headquartered in San Francisco, with funding from Austin Ventures, a VC company. Since then, there have been many old MySpace courtiers have returned to Divov side. Divov said he hoped that through mergers and acquisitions, Mindjolt's user base would reach more than 20 million people.

Devolf's former MySpace executives include chief operating officer Colin Diego (Digiaro, myspace), Chief technology Officer Abbervitchen (former chief technology officer Aber Whitcomb, myspace, co-founder), And senior vice president of Business and Enterprise Development Joshugado (Josh Yguado, former VP of Business Development, Fox Network Group). In addition, Mindjolt founder Richardfields (Richard Fields) is currently the company's chief strategic officer.

After leaving MySpace, Divov inspected more than 150 companies and eventually chose to buy Mindjolt. The company currently has more than 1300 casual games, which are developed by more than 1000 third-party game makers. Mindjolt is now making a profit. By raising more than 20 million of billions of dollars from Austin Ventures, Mindjolt has the money to buy other social gaming companies.

Divov says he is now not interested in building in-house gaming studios or acquiring game developers. Instead, he plans to build the basis of Mindjolt's release. It is for this reason that Divov intends to buy a casual game company with a user size of 10 million people. Mindjolt is also developing money-making features such as virtual gifts and developing Mindjolt gaming tools for third party game developers. "We need companies that already have audiences and profits," says Divov. ”

While still working at MySpace, Divov has established close ties with social gaming companies. Based on the number of social gaming companies that advertise on their sites, Divov clearly knows that social gaming companies have been able to make a profit in the early days of their inception. He later learned that the virtual gift model in Asia could also work in the United States. But Divov admits he started late in the social gaming industry. At present, the industry has a playfish, Playdom and Zynga and other giants. It is for this reason that Divov to buy a social gaming company with a certain audience base. With 20 million users and profitability, Mindjolt will provide a bigger platform for game developers.

Although Mindjolt's current income is growing, Divov says he does not intend to build Mindjolt into a company with 1600 employees. Divov that the size of the Congress produced bureaucracy, leading to a decline in the company's growth and ultimately by more small companies to overcome the strategy. Divov says he needs only hundreds of people to fulfill his dream.

In Divov's new business blueprint, the former rival, Facebook, has become a key part of its success. Mindjolt currently relies on Facebook as its base platform, but Divov is also planning to diversify its business to expand on platforms such as MySpace, Yahoo, MSN and Google.
