According to W3i, an application monetization professional, not all "in-app purchases" are equal, and games priced at more than $ 9.99 are more likely to gather wealth. The research is based on 66 million active iOS (Android) users. In fact, games priced between $ 9.99 and $ 19.99 made up 47% of the overall revenue.
In paid games, users may prefer "0.99" this figure. But games priced between $ 0.99 and $ 1.99 made up just 6% of the overall revenue.
From the geographical point of view, the United Arab Emirates and Japan have become the most profitable market. In the UAE this country, 55% of the game revenue comes from games priced at 19.99 US dollars, while Japan corresponds to 43% of the data.
In games priced at $ 9.99, game revenue in China and Canada is 29% and 33%, respectively. The UK is a bit special: 27% of games come from games priced at $ 9.99, while the $ 49.99 is making up 8% of games!
