Scientists have been working on how to make life better, and have developed many interesting conceptual products. And today we're going to introduce a slim organic circuit with a thickness of just two microns, a curved radius of 5 microns, and a 3g-per-square metre of curved skin, developed by the University of Tokyo research team.
Don't say you don't know how small the circuit is, with the smallest object (about 0.1mm) that can be clearly seen by the average person, removal of the electronic skin (thickness 2 microns) is calculated by 1/500, which means that the circuit is 500 times times smaller than what you can see.
On the current product prototype, each 4.8cm X 4.8cm area sized circuit is crammed with 144 sensors attached to the transistor so that you can put it on your skin to evaluate your life symptoms. Also because it is based on plastic design, not only good elasticity, things are not easy to damage, so you can pull and knead in different environments at the same time, through the sensor to detect pressure. You can even add a temperature sensor to simulate a real skin sensation on a prosthetic limb, or you can design a skin robot like the head of a movie machine steward (Bicentennial Man) starring Williams. However, like other teams that are also doing research on flexible circuits, these are still only prototype concept, distance formally can put into medical use still a long way to go, but can be foreseen in the near future, whether in the home health management, or hospital research can see skin form ultra-thin organic circuit traces, So we can reduce the reliance on traditional, expensive equipment for care or research.
Wearable ultra-thin electronic skin will bring more advanced medical technology
