We all want to be influential people.
But before we really become such a person, we can use a marketing approach called "influencers Marketing", so that other influential people (such as star celebrities, micro-grand, celebrities, etc.) will help us to marketing. As it turns out, this marketing approach is very effective.
I've seen a lot of articles and e-books about influencing marketers that cover a lot of the basics of how this affects, but the operability of these things is actually not high. Therefore, I decided to write an article myself, so that people can see it immediately after the implementation.
Over the past 4 years, I have spent a lot of time and energy researching the marketing of influential people. Today, I want to share with you my achievements and the methods I have used. And, of course, some examples of what I've been through.
1. Purchase the books of the affected person and write the book review
Some influential people have published books. Or some are just the opposite, and they have become influential by the books they have written. You should buy their books and read them carefully. Write a book review after reading. Trust me, they'll notice your comments. You have to let the authors know that you have read their books carefully and that the world knows you read them. So when you're trying to reach out to them and get them to help you with your marketing, they'll have a crush on you. This is a very effective strategy.
2. Participate in their blogs: subscribe, comment, ask questions
Find the blogs that affect them, read their blogs, subscribe, comment, and ask questions. The people who influence are very interested in interacting with the reader, so you should take the initiative to interact with them and let them know who you are.
3. Promote their articles on social media
Influential people also attach great importance to social media. And you should do the same. When it comes to content marketing in social media, you can post influential articles, and when you're doing content marketing, by the way, helping them to get more readers and fans, he'll thank you.
4. Contacts at meetings
No matter which industry you are in, the impact of the industry will be in the industry meeting to give a speech, this is your direct contact with them the best time.
Orbit Media UBM Andy Crestodina is a friend of mine who once said: "There is no more efficient way of communicating than face-to-face communication." Success comes from opportunity, opportunity comes from relationship, and relationship comes from various activities. "When you attend a trade conference, don't just listen to their speeches, you should try to communicate directly with them as much as possible."
5. Send a message: impress the other person
Emails can also be as efficient as social media, and you can impress each other by email. Just when you send a message, you should pay attention to what you send.
After a meeting, conversation, or online communication with the affected person, you can send an email to the other person and thank them. In many cases, if you do this, the other person will have a crush on you, or even a long time remembering who you are.
6. Join the blog Revolution
If you do not have a blog, then quickly apply for a bar! Almost all of the affected people have their own blogs, and they will post their views on blogs. Don't think the blog is outdated.
LinkedIn's personal homepage is a good start, but it cannot be compared to traditional blogs.
You can often mention a certain influence in your post, who will have the opportunity to notice you, visit your blog, and even forward your blog post.
7. Guest Blogs
After becoming a blogger, you can find the people you want to influence and then offer to post your guest blog on their blogs. You need to look closely at the type of content that he publishes, and then you create some of that type of content yourself.
I have used this marketing approach a number of times, and it has become one of my most common strategies, and it has made me connect with many of the people who influence me.
8. Joint content
Publishing joint content can give you incredible results. You need to contact one or more people, and then you work together to create content, such as blog posts, information maps, slides, and so on, and use that content to publish your thoughts so that you also become the industry's influence.
If you feel that your relationship with the person you are not so close to, you can also publish your content, but you can cite the words and opinions of the person who influenced it.
9. Create a list of affected persons
You can create one or more lists of affected people and let your audience know them. At the beginning, you can create a "best" list, such as best podcasts, best blogs, and best case studies.
After doing so, those affected will thank you for helping them to advertise, and in turn they will be more willing to help you. Ideally, you will have multiple stakeholders using their charisma to help you with marketing.
10. Interview the affected person
After becoming a media publisher, you will have the opportunity to use the new media to reach the affected people. You can invite them to have an interview, and you need to schedule the interview according to their schedule.
For example, if an affected person has just written a book, or is involved in a well-known project, you should include it in the interview.
11. Opportunities for Public Speaking
People who are affected are often involved in a variety of industry conferences and are mindful of new ideas and the owners of these ideas. You should take advantage of these opportunities to let them see you. If you're sitting in the audience and you can't attract them, you should try to be a speaker. Don't be afraid to stand on the stage and make a speech. You can try the water on some small activities first, accumulate some experience, and then give a lecture on the big events. Do not be afraid of being rejected by the organizers, I personally have been repeatedly rejected. You can start your public speaking career by attending a local industry conference.
12. Hosting online meetings
Online meetings are a very effective alternative if you are really afraid to give a speech in public or if you don't get the opportunity. Participating in and hosting an online meeting not only allows you to build your own influence, but also allows you to reach many other influencers.
I have hosted an online meeting called "Rock and Roll content," Where I have been exposed to a number of influential people, such as the CMI Robert Rose, Velocity's Doug Kessler, and LinkedIn's Jason. Miller and so on.
13. Make Video
You can also post videos on YouTube or other platforms and invite someone to talk or show their work in the video. In addition, if you can't get them, you can also arrange the content in the video and send them the link, ask them to forward or comment. If you do this, you must carefully consider the contents of the video, and make the comments or the people who have the impact of forwarding the video benefit.
14. Publish ebook
E-books are a good way to connect with the people who influence them. LinkedIn's Jason Miller has used e-books to become friends with many influential people. After you have interviewed and asked about the impact, you can publish the content as an ebook.
15. Visual Perspective
If you want to add visual elements such as images to your marketing work, you should use visual media to increase your visibility and find ways to reach those affected.
16. Active contact the affected person
Blogs and LinkedIn are two very effective tools that you can use to proactively contact the person you want to influence. I recommend that you write a letter that is detailed and sincere to them.
When you're doing this, don't expect them to help you right away, but don't be surprised when they really want to help you.
17. Create a case study
Do case studies without the permission and authorization of the person affected. You first need to determine what case studies your audience would like to see before continuing. You can talk about the case studies into sections and then update them daily on social media.
18. Make LinkedIn Your Social center
When clients ask me about social media marketing, I advise them not to put the cart before the horse. I would recommend different social media services based on their different audience types. But I never ignore LinkedIn. Today, the social media service has become the center of personal branding and content distribution.
19. Advertising
Advertising has not lost its vitality, it has evolved to adapt to the current digital media age. If your traffic is never going to improve, buy some online promotions. For example, if you buy an ad on a Google or YouTube platform, the person affected will also have the opportunity to see the ad and recognize you.
20. Use Good Newsletter
You can often refer to the influence in your newsletter, and doing so will give you the opportunity to get in touch with them. I often mention the impact of online marketing in my newsletter and show my audience the results of the work that affects them.
21. Let employees also participate in
In online marketing, you should start everyone up and down the company. You can also hire someone to manage content and social media platforms. Keep in mind that you have to let everyone in the company know what impact you want to attract and what help you want those influences to offer you.
22. Give a little love to a competitor
If you can be more tolerant of your competitors, you can build a larger network. If your competitor has just produced a book, or is hosting an online meeting (with the participation of the people you want to influence), you can be generous and help and support your competitors, which will get you into the spotlight.
23. Be a "matchmaker"
Find every opportunity to act as a "matchmaker" between the affected and others. I often introduce the influence to the management of the website. Believe me, you will be rewarded for this.
24. Create a Community
The impact people often participate in many groups, you can actually in many ways into these groups, and then invite the affected to join your community. These groups include Twitter chats, LinkedIn groups, Tribber, Facebook, and Google +.
25. Advocacy
When you are in contact with some of the affected people, don't be shy about letting people know, you should tell everyone. I always do this, for example, I will put the website logo that I posted on my homepage.
26. Early users of new platforms
When you have the opportunity to test and try out the new tools, do not hesitate to participate immediately. If the new tool works well, promote it, and suggest others to use it, especially when it is introduced to the affected. Imagine the scene: an influence tells everyone that you introduced him to a new product. How much will you reap when this happens?
27. Requests for recommendations
If you need an influence to give you some advice, don't be shy and ask directly. The influential people are very fond of excellent "students".
28. Be their student
In addition to public speaking and online discussion, some influential people also create online courses. When you see these lessons, you have to pay for it. When you become their student, you can communicate with them openly.
29. Expresses its appreciation
Always thank those who have helped you. In addition to distinguishing you from others, you need to be thankful to them in creative ways.
30. Becoming an influential person
As you continue to work hard, your own visibility will become more and more high. You will be invited to visit, make joint content, and ask for advice. At this point, you become an influence, and you need to help others.
