The current smartphone is a bit of a surprise--it was considered a magic trick decades ago. For those of us who are used to the iPhone and Android smartphones, the cool technology on the phone has become quite flattering. Take the sensor as an example, do you know how many sensors are in the smartphone?

One of the most common sensors in smartphones is the acceleration sensor. As the name suggests, the accelerometer can measure the acceleration of the phone. So that the mobile phone in any direction upward movement, the acceleration sensor will have signal output, the mobile phone is still stationary when the acceleration sensor has no signal output. The accelerometer also measures the angle of the phone in three directions. Using the signal of acceleration sensor to judge the status of mobile phone is flat, or have a certain angle? is the display up or down?

The gyroscope can provide higher precision angle information. With the help of gyroscopes, the Android Photo Sphere camera function can determine in which direction the phone is rotated. Google's Sky Map uses gyroscopes to determine which constellation the phone is pointing to.

The other sensor configured by most smartphones is a magnetic sensor that detects magnetic fields. Magnetic sensors are one of the sensors used in compass applications to determine the Earth's Arctic. The use of magnetic sensors can also be used to detect metal materials.

The distance sensor consists of an infrared LED light and an infrared ray detector. The sensor is located near the handset's handset, the handset is close to the ear, the system uses the distance sensor to know the user on the telephone, then closes the display screen, prevents the user because of the mistake operation influence the call. The distance sensor working principle is, the infrared LED light emits the invisible infrared light by the nearby object reflection, is detected by the infrared radiation ray detector.

The light sensor of the mobile phone can detect the brightness of the environment. The software can automatically adjust the brightness of the display screen with the data of the light sensor--when the ambient brightness is high, the brightness of the display screen will be correspondingly higher; when the ambient brightness is low, the brightness of the display screen will be lowered correspondingly. Samsung's high-end Galaxy models use advanced light sensors to independently measure the brightness of white, red, green, and blue. The ADAPT display function uses these data to optimize the screen quality.

Some high-end smartphones are equipped with pressure sensors that measure air pressure. The data of the pressure sensor can be used to judge the altitude of the position of the mobile phone, which helps to improve the precision of GPS (Global Positioning System). Motorola XOOM and Samsung Galaxy Nexus are two of the first Android phones to be equipped with pneumatic sensors.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is configured with temperature sensors that measure temperature. However, many other smartphones are equipped with temperature sensors, some more than one. The difference is that they are designed to monitor the temperature inside the phone and the battery. If a component is found to be too hot, the cell phone shuts down to prevent damage to the phone. The data provided by the Galaxy S4 temperature sensor is used by S Tiyatien to determine the comfort of the user's environment.

A pedometer is a sensor used to measure the number of steps a user has taken. The accelerometer in the mobile phone also gets the number of steps a user can take, but the dedicated pedometer provides more accurate data and is more energy efficient. Google Nexus 5 is one of the few phones that really configures a pedometer sensor.

In addition, the heart rate sensor in the Galaxy S5 is also not to mention. It obtains the user's heart rate data by detecting the number of pulses per minute on the user's finger.

A variety of handsets, including Apple's IPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC one Max, are equipped with fingerprint sensors. Fingerprint sensors are often used as a security measure.

A type of mobile sensor that is easily overlooked is a sensor capable of detecting harmful radiation, and Sharp's Pantone 5 phones are equipped with harmful radiation sensors. Pantone 5 has a button that the user clicks on the button to launch an application that detects radiation levels in the environment.

With microphones and cameras, the range of sensors in smartphones will reach 14, meaning smartphones can get, use, and provide a lot of data. As smartphones evolve, the range of sensors it integrates is growing.
