Tomer Tagrin is a young and passionate entrepreneur. It is the co-founder of the Yotpo company. He wrote today about his ideas about entrepreneurship. Here is the full text.

Last month, I spent a lot of time talking to test users and consumers. I get the conclusion that our products are not "cool" and lack of fun. I remember in the video of Dave McClure (Angel Investment), he mentioned the importance of convincing a VC and addressing the emotional aspects of those users ' concerns.

I'm sure some of you will think it's not important to be a "cool" startup, but anyway, your next big thing is how to become cool. If you're still skeptical, think about Apple, http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/1560.html ">facebook, Twitter, Google is even a company like Dropbox and Foursquare? Can you say that this kind of company is not "cool"? Whether you are an investor, an employee or a consumer, everyone wants to be part of something cool.

"It's not cool to have a 1 million company. You know what's cool? It's cool to have a 1 billion company. ”

1. Idea

As an entrepreneur, it's a good thing to see so many startups coming up. But, as Paul Graham mentioned in Y Combinator, there are more big problems to solve for these young entrepreneurs.

There will certainly be a lot of startups coming in these days, but don't get me wrong, it's a good thing. I think that if you want to be a new and cool company in these areas, your goals must be high and very high. Even if your strategy is to address a small subset of users ' issues, such as Facebook, the problem you have to address must be a real and wide-ranging issue. In order to solve this problem, you have to consider a lot of.

2. Product

Perhaps the essential element of being a very cool start-up is that "execution is everything." As you can see, all the companies that can change the world are very focused on their products. Your product must be so appealing that there is no other way to replace it. Your product is your face, your eyes and your voice. If your product does not bring spirits effect to the user, you have no chance.

As a founder, I try not to focus on the company's valuations and the articles that mention me and go to a lot of meetings. I'm not saying these things don't matter, they are sometimes very important, I mean I can't spend most of my time on this. Cool is not to say that you have to receive media interviews 3 times a week, but to see a user who really likes to use your product. Cool is the ability to build a user experience that is addictive, an attractive building and a product that can "kick the butt of other products".

Zynga's CEO has put forward a phrase-"pseudo CEO". "Pseudo-CEO" is a company in the backyard has been on fire, he also went to attend various occasions activities. They prefer to be in the spotlight as a CEO rather than really managing a company.

Without an amazing enforcement effort there is no chance to make a cool product. If Dropbox's products were not simple and did not perform well, I think Drew had no chance of getting the results today. It's a tough job to make a product of concern, and it's not always fun to test or improve every tiny part of the product, but that's exactly what's needed to keep the product cool.

3. Personality

If you want to be a real rock star, you have to be cool. You might ask, Larry Page and Mark Zuckerberg, which place is cool? But if you take a closer look at their story, you'll find that they're the coolest thing you know. "Well, maybe, Parker is cooler."

A real rock star must be confident and believe that what they are doing is right, whatever they are doing. To build a great band, you have to have something that can be deeply appealing, which is what I call "cool". The founder's personality is rooted in the company's culture, products, teams and almost all the products you touch.

That's what I think is a more important factor for a "cool" startup. Maybe you have a cooler idea in your heart.
