In the morning of April 25 Beijing time, Kevin Sou, the head of the Twitter music service, has resigned from Twitter, Thau. AllThingsD, the US technology blogger, quotes sources as saying he will be chief operating officer of the start-up company Jelly, founded by Biz, the Twitter co-founder.
Twitter launched its Twitter music service over a week ago through the "Morning America". The app helps users discover new music based on their Twitter-listening trends.
Sow has been involved in the development of Twitter music from the very beginning, and he may be Twitter's number 20th employee. Sow specializes in commercial development and has established a small team called we Are hunted. The team's products subsequently developed into Twitter music.
Prior to that, Sow was in charge of Twitter's mobile engineering and design team, and launched the first mobile app for Twitter. Since then, Sow has been the Vice-President of Twitter's business and corporate development, boosting the integration of Twitter with BlackBerry and Apple software platforms.
Previous reports said the Twitter music team, including Sow, did not work at the company's headquarters. Sow is the 3rd Twitter employee to jump to jelly this year. Earlier, Vitor Laurenco (Vitor Lourenco) resigned from Twitter and served as Jelly Advisor. Earlier this week, Ben Finkel (Ben Finkel) transferred from Twitter to jelly as chief technology officer.
