Lately I've come up with the idea that I should think of my growth as a startup, that is, to think of myself as a start-up company.

In fact, such ideas are not uncommon, for example, people often say that studying abroad, or paying high prices to teach good oral English is an investment in their own, is to gain the personal ability of growth in the future to get more than the cost of higher returns.

But I think it's a little different from the traditional idea of thinking of yourself as a start-up company/startup.

Paul Graham once put forward the idea that entrepreneurship equals growth--startup = substituting:

In other words, not all new start-ups are startups. In the United States, the number of new companies is millions per year, but only a handful are startups.
